young rabbits need a special rabbit pellet feed formulated for growth. oxbo is a good brand. they do not need to eat iceberg lettuce, but rather green leaf and romaine lettuce. they like parsley & cilantro. carrots should be fed in moderation, they are high in sugar, contrary to what most people think. apples, pears, peaches, blueberries, strawberries can be given in small amounts. (1 to 2 pieces daily) Timothy hay is essential!! They need it to maintain their digestive systems which are very sensitive and delicate. NEVER give them popcorn, cookies, sugary sweets or other people foods. Only fresh vegetables, pellets, hay & small servings of fruits. Chocolate can kill them!! They need to have some form of food all day and night long, or they could die..They can never be fasted, They also need a steady supply of fresh water. Alfafa hay is also good for young rabbits.

Rabbits staple diet is commercial rabbit food that you buy in a pet store. Also alfalfa or timothy hay. For a supplement, any greens, vegetables or peelings from when you cook. Also some weeds such as oxalis is a favorite of rabbits. Fresh food must always be raw and vegetarian of course. When I was young, I fed my rabbit Trix as a treat but that was really youthful rebellion. Actually rabbits will eat almost anything including wires and plastic, unfortunately.
The last two are definitely not good for them!

Fresh grass hay and vegetables should make up the bulk of the diet for house rabbits. Feeding a diet consisting mainly of pellets may result in obesity and increase the likelihood of digestive problems

Rabbit food.
And vegetables.
Why?
If you have a rabbit, you should have found this out before. If you don't have a rabbit, but want one, Good Luck, and have fun. Plus, good for you, finding out BEFORE you get the rabbit.

they do not eat carrots like bugs bunny, everyone thinks they do but actually it is something that the cartooners came up with for some reason (your rabbit might like to try a little bit though). they realy eat stuff like bread, grass, apples, and rabbit food that you can get in pet stores.

Well, you can go to a pet store and buy Rabbit Food.
Or..
You can give them lettuce. Not the whole head of lettuce. Just a couple of leaves.
Also, you can give them celery or carrots.
