Truman (the guy who dropped the bombs on Japan) was a Democrat, as was Kennedy (the guy who first sent us to Vietnam) so Democrats don't have a history of not fighting.

Don't really understand your rationale here. Do you mean people want to become even more entrenched in the middle of a savage civil war arguably worse than the Lebanese civil war of 1975-90 and would therefore prefer a GOP President? If so then yes. However the recent Congressional elections would seem to work against that so I would assume no.

What ever person the Democrats put out front, they need to be seen as a moderate. Any far left thinking is going to cause the people to think they are soft on homeland security. Although no one wants wars, you cant have a candidate that advocates a rapid troop pull out and / or negotiating with terrorist leaders.

NO, have you forgotton the 2006 fall elections where all Rebups tied to Bush and the war LOST! and it didn't stop Bush from stealing the 2004 election in Ohio, how else did he know that state was going to be the battlegroud?

Not in the least! It's about time,the American voters came to their senses & voted Democrat again; I mean look where were at now,because of the Republican voters!!! I'll tell you what's gonna happen;The Demorcat's are going to clean up Bush's screw-up's! & maybe there will be a little bit of a chance to change this messed up world!!!
