Does anyone know if there is a word that means "to walk on crutches"? One word that specifically means that, not just somehting like limp or hobble. I think there probably is one...

No, I do not mean what does the phrase mean, I mean I need a word that is defined as "to walk on crutches".

I am writing a story and I want to say that "Melody [walked into the room on crutches] and...]". The rest of the sentence is already very long and saying that she "walked in on crutches" sounds clumsy. What I am looking fo is a word that means "to walk on crutches". think of the phrase.and what it means to you. to me it means that you can walk but you need support.
