Original is, since it will not break as easy than how easily a slim will break.

they are techniquly the same but i heard that the old ps2 cant play some of the newer games but i found that to be untrue and the slim has the ethernet cable input things in the system so you dont have to but the adapter like for the old one. i would say the original because they cost less and the internet adapter you can most likely get cheep because the slim already has one and they have been out for a while. so i would say the old one

The slim in my opinion. It has the ethernet port built in for online activity ( you had to buy the adapter on the original) and it's easier to take to parties and whatnot.

Same price, more functionality. Slim all the way.

they both have there ups and downs. the original is better becuase it has the slide out for the disc and can take more of a punishment. the slim is better becuase i has the built in ethernet port and is easier to travel with. but the pop up door breaks very easy.

The Slim is more portable and sleak but has a higher risk of overheating, the larger one is bulky and sometime the disk tray malfunctions/breaks, so its a matter on how rough your going to be on it, big for durabilaty or small for portability

well I don't think they are making the original any more so if you have one it probably doesn't run as well as a brand new slim one would I would say the slim because it's newer and cheaper
