The last time was about 3 days ago. I received an email that made me feel VERY flattered about the volunteer work I am doing with a new dept. Usually when ppl say I am appreciated, it sounds phony, esp when I hear it several times in a day.

The email made me feel like part of the team, not "just a volunteer."

Being soft-spoken by nature I seldom speak up but one co-worker always acknowledges me for what I say and what I suggest. What I say turn out to be the right thing almost always and I think that builds up her confidence in me. What she doesn't realize is that what she does builds up my respect and appreciation for her.
