So, I've never worn liquid foundations but I really think I would like to. What are your favorite brands of foundation and do you have any tips for a first time user? Please and thank you!

I actually love any cover girl foundation. You can get them fairly inexpensive, and they work awesome.

I really like Avon's foundation that goes on from a compact in cream form then changes to powder. It's really nice.

I also like a lightly tinted moisturizer instead of liquid foundation. There's a show on Fine Living called the Shopping Bags that tested foundations not too long ago...

As far as brands go, I like MAC, Bobbi Brown and Prescriptives. All of these have counters that will match you up with the right colors. Also try investing in a good foundation brush to make it easier to apply and so that you can control the coverage. A slightly damp brush will give you sheerer coverage. And just make sure to set with loose powder.

I think you should go to the makeup counters in Nordstrom's or Macy's or one of the other large department stores and ask how to apply liquid foundation. They will surely be happy to help.

I really like Merle Norman or Beauti Control if you need a heavier coverage, but for light coverage, I like Burts Bee's tinted moisturizer.

You should go to either Clinique or MAC and have them test your skin for the proper skin shade. Both are good brands, except MAC is a bit heavier, and more for dry skin types. Clinique is lighter and is better for oily-normal skin types. MAC is a bit more expensive, but I like it personally.

use a beginning place brush. Essence of elegance from CVS has somewhat sturdy brushes. of path in case you desire severe high quality choose for MAC a hundred ninety brush. basically shake your bottle and the grab the beginning place from atop with the comb, basically use small strokes to persist with it on your dermis. It applies greater effective and promises you greater effective coverage.
