Uh...yes.....yes we are! Ridiculous isn't it! Unfortunately, we need a license to drive a car, a license to catch a fish, and a license to get married....but any dumb *** can reproduce!
Sad isn't it??!!

Pregnancy can be a scary, confusing time for any woman, especially if you're having your first baby. Not everyone can just jump up and run to the Doctor or Hospital when they're having a bit of a panicky moment, and it has helped me to be able to log on here and receive reassurance from real mothers who have been through a pregnancy before.
Often their answers are more revealing than a medical opinion, as they are based on personal experience.
I posted a recent question, then I read it back and wondered if it adequately described my concerns. I acknowledged that it sounded a little silly and that I hadn't really been able to express exactly what I was feeling... But I had hope that someone out there would read it and identify with my situation and might even be able to help me.
After reading 'this' query, I wonder if perhaps I should only have posted my question if I could preposition potential readers with the levels of education I've reached, my socio-economic classification and details of my annual income, to avoid being classed as 'stupid' or accused of dumbing-down society by having a child.
Keep in mind that not everyone will have had the same opportunities which may have been made available to you, and it's really just displaying your own levels of personal ignorance and intolerance by pointing out that some people have asked questions deemed by your almighty self to be 'retarded' or 'moronic'.
Clearly you feel you're qualified to sit in judgement of a would-be-mother's ability to be a loving, nurturing parent and/or the level of intelligence which will be achieved throughout a lifetime by their offspring, based on a question asked in a single posting.
If you think a question is a silly one, wouldn't it be wiser to just ignore it?
Perhaps a pro-active solution to your concerns would be to offer your eggs or sperm as a donation to those who cannot conceive, therefore ensuring the continuation of 'your' genetic superiority....... It certainly sounds like you'd be doing us all a favor....

You don't even have to read much. "Am I pregnet?" "Cud I B pregat?" Etc. That people are "falling" pregnant without even being able to spell "pregnant" worries me quite a bit.
And there's no end of encouragement for it.
See also: any question involving abortion past, present, purely hypothetical. There's a barren mob that descends, with answers first nastily chiding off the asker for using the a-word -- murderer, you'll go to hell, etc -- followed by a "I'll adopt your baby!" As though a judgemental, nasty, bossy-boots with baby fever might be the obvious solution to unwanted pregnancies.
You should also see the thumbs-down that show up when somebody suggests stuff like:
-- home birth is quite safe for low-risk pregnancies
-- a beer a week will do nothing at all bad
-- inducing labour, then trying to deliver on your back, legs raised, and getting a doctor to slice your slit is a fantastic idea (remember, it's the "Have you considered waterbirth, with a midwife?" crowd that's nuts)
If it's any consolation, the offspring of "cud i be pregnet becuz he pre-nutted in mi" is highly unlikely to end up running anything important.

Hey I asked a question and I am not retarted. But, I will admit some of the dumbest questions are in this category. One chick asked should she use her moms umbilical cord she said she was 36 weeks pregnant and the doctor told her to go and buy an umbilical cord so that the baby could eat. You should have saw the answers she got she was truly retarted or she was just trying to be dumb!

My friends and I are firm believers that intelligent people have ceased to breed, and the morons are at it like rabbits. It's a most troubling thought. Intelligent people are becoming an endangered species...

Please just remember that alot of the people here are kids. The thing that scares me is how grown adults cannot spell simple words or know how to take off caps lock when they type! Can't blame the kids if the parents are as bad, or worse!

lol...i sometimes wonder this as well but at the same time you have to realize that nowadays it's children asking this questions and their parents haven't really told them anything about life. children seem to be doing more adult only things and the parents don't want to believe that that can happen...so yea seems like we might be doomed
