Shar must be an idiot.....the game yesterday has no bearing, he/she is just probably some hick Saints fan. The truth is (said by himself) that he is tired of struggling physically, and wants to persue other interests outside of football. Its a shame cuz he's one of the top backs in the league and is essentially in his prime, but is his decision to make

Tiki Barber is one of the rarities; he has planned for his after football career. He has many things going on. He also does not want to be physically beat-up when his football is over. There are many running backs that played too long and are now too physically damaged to do very much.

I believe he is retiring because he is tired of all the hard work that has to be put in physically for him to be a premier athlete in the NFL. Prior to a few seasons ago, Tiki was a frequent fumbler and almost exclusively used to run the ball in 3rd and short situations. Not wanting to end his career in mediocrity, he decided to put in grueling off-season workouts to get in the best condition. This led to outstanding seasons of 1,000+ rushing yards. I think this has taken its toll on Tiki and he's racked up his PERSONAL stats and doesn't care to help put his team. He himself says he's lost his passion for the game.

Of each and every person him calling out Coughlin replaced into pathetic. If it wasnt for TC Tiki wouldnt have submit as good of numbers as he did and in all probability nonetheless be a fumbling fool.

Did you watch the game yesterday with the Saints? That should answer your question. He couldn't do anything. So i suspect that yes, he has lost interest.
