download anything from the internet
and read the transfer
if its 256 kb speed then it will read in tranfer in download 30 kb /second
if its 512 kb dsl speed it will read with u 60 kb kb / second in download
if its 1 miga speed then it will read with u 120 or 100 k/ second

After you are connected, double click on the icon you used to connect and your properties, including connection speed, will appear.

go to 2wire.net up in the corner you will see a square that says speed meter. click on that
