I just bought a new computer a month ago. AMD Athlon 64X2 Dual-Core 4200, has a Nvidia Geforce 6150 LE, and 1024MB of memory. When I play Company of Heroes there is about a 2 second lag before anything happens. I have already dropped everything on the lowest settings hoping that would fix it but made little if any difference. I don't know if I need a new graphics card or if I can make the one I have work some how.

Your video card is not powerful enough to run the game really well. You will need at least the Nvidia 7 series or better yet get the Nvidia 8 GeForce in order to play the game the way it mean to be play. Get a video card with at least 256 Mb or RAM. The LE Nividia is a value line of video card and so it can't run newer game properly.

Graphic card speed depends on its pipeline(x4 to x24x2; the highway for the delivering graphic), fill rate (billion/sec; how many pixel or triangle or wadever to shade out the graphic) and clockspeed (mhz; logic executed per second). Those mentioned have sub components. Processor, graphic card and ram, all three cannot have constriction. any of them cause a bottleneck and the game will lag. i think you can get a 7600, 1600(SGD$100 - $200) for mid range. if plan to invest for long term gaming high end card can last long as newers game always require better cards, Maybe x800, 1900, 7800($700 - $900)

Yes, i think you need a new graphics card. If you want a budget graphics card, get a nvidia geforce7600 for about 100ish. Or go with second best 7950 geforce for around 250$. As regard to the above poster saying you need more RAM, you don't need any more RAM. 1gb RAM is decent. Graphics cards is the one that plays major role on how well your games run.

Hi, it might need more graphics speed or some more memory RAM.
But there are other good ways to stop the lag by going to options on the game and choosing some anti-leasing and some high-details off, and it will most likely decrease the lag or stop it.

Or, to download the latest drivers at www.nvidia.com and even using their software that turns off some options like anti-leasing, etc
