I tried hard. I never found one. Is there any possibility that it will now be easier to find a Nintendo Wii now that Christmas is over?

Not exactly. I just read this article regarding of demand on WII and PS3.
Demand for WII is still at its peak, so the shortage will continue until early Febrary.
FOR PS3 due to it's low demand, unentertain games, you can easily get one after x'mas

You will be able to find it around mid to end January without a problem. I found my xbox 360 around that time, and that demand was even larger. No worries, it will come in time, you won't regret it. I am also on the search for it as well.

Absolutely! I looked for one for my kids and couldn't find one either. Good thing their birthdays are in January, so I have an excuse!
