They have to lighten up on the salary cap,so they are able to get first rate players in their prime to play here,Americans are not going to watch second rate soccer(we might not even watch first rate soccer, but won't know about that till it comes here)which is what MLS is right now.

The one thing that has always held back the development of soccer in this country has been the stupid people who ran it.
They MLS needs to do what the NBA did back when they were done. Remember when the showed the championship game on tape delay at 11:00 at night EST. They need to get some good players, like the NBA did with Magic Johnson and Larry Byrd and Market the crap out of them. Hopefully they would be charismatic American players. Alexi Lalas was the perfect person for that but the MLS let the opportunity go by.

Well first MLS needs to have a bigger budget. Secondly they need to attract big players. ok maybe not big players but like south american players like 18 year old brazillians or argentines would be a good idea to invest in such players. Just like real madrid are doing right now.
Lastly they need a good coach. That can attract supporters and fans!

More coverage on the tv. A second division. The fear of relegation sparks competition. If you want to stay, then you gotta put out.

Get better players could be the answer. Something they can't do with the little money they have.
