How do I install wireless internet in my house?

I have high speed internet on my desktop, but would also like to have wireless to use my laptop in other rooms of the house.

site below gives the basic info. but all you need is to set up a router and then set the devices to connect to it. microsfot.com has a page telling you how to access the settings on laptops and pc using the os they offer. just run a quick search .
