No. you have to transfer the files and also delete in the primary drive manually. If you have done some computer troubleshooting and repair yourself, you can directly transfer data from the old hard disk to the new hard disk . Connect the old hard disk to the computer with the new drive with the secondary IDE cable. Set the jumpers , so that the new drive is configured as the master and the old drive is set as the slave. When you switch on the computer, you can directly transfer data between the 2 drives, using the copy command. More details at http://fixit.in/transferdata.html

No, your primary drive will not automatically switch storage unless you have a program to regulate that. But be careful with your primary drive getting too low, your computer might start freezing on start ups. So go ahead and transfer all your data to secondary, your primary is good for just programs that you run.

Hi, when you install anything or download anything you need to choose D drive which as 320GB and not the C drive whcih as 20GB.

The computer or software won't switch automatically but sometimes it will tell you that your main drive ( C drive) has not enough disk space for installation or space for music, MP3, video, etc

No. In order to make in store things on the second drive, you have to select that drive when saving the files.

Recommend that you move your data (meaning music, pictures, vids, etc) to the second drive. Leave your programs on the primary (C) drive. Then in the future when you download or save new music, pictures, etc, sent them directly to the second drive.
