I Love Christ and love Christmas. There are those that use it just for gifts and getting drunk, but it is the day we are supposed to celebrate his birth. I know that Jesus was not born on this day, but it is the day we are given to celebrate it. Let the others have their Christmas, but let us who love Christ have him in our Christmas

You're most likely not the only one. No one knows for sure when Christ was even born, and judging by the descriptions of weather conditions and other things in the Bible, most people believe September is closer to his birthday.

And since Christmas was a merger holiday started by the Winter Solstice and Pagan celebrations of Mithras, it's become the standard...Christmas tree, get lights up, give people presents...more than anything about having the whole family together and enjoying/being thankful for what you have.

All people want these days is the highest performance game console. -_-

Edit: Besides, there are plenty of people who love Christmas and hate Christ.

Wake up people. Jesus was NOT born on Christmas. He was born sometime in the Spring...any Bible scholar will tell you. I love Christ and though I don't HATE Christmas, I'm not fond of it. There is too much pressure, too many expectations, and for those not fortunate enough to have a close family, it can be down right depressing.

Thank you Gorbalizer! Most people are too ignorant and lazy to even research the origin of this Pagan holiday. Christmas is all about the greediness of people and not CHRIST at all. I don't care what the name says! If Jesus was truly the reason for the season then most people wouldn't even glorify it because the focus would be taken from themselves. Conclusively, to LOVE Christ is to HATE Christmas!!

Of course you can "hate" Christmas....... Why not? Look Christ was born in the lowest state. I don't think he would like the fact that people are using his "birthday" to go into debt to buy stuff for their children/family that they don't even need. It's sad. Give peace, love and time for Christmas.
I don't "hate" Christmas and I even like some parts of it, the lights, the time to spend with the kids and grandkids. This is the good part being with family.....

I love Christ and I love the *meaning* of Christmas. What I dislike is the way it has been commercialized. However, though I do shop for Christmas gifts (all year 'round, in fact), I keep the material things within reason and concentrate on sharing the love of my family and friends.

Hi I am one of millions who fit that category we love and honor Christ but know that "christmas has nothing to do with Jesus as he was not born in dec as tradition states" the reason that that fact is known to Millions of True Christians is Based on the Bible if you look in Luke ch 2 :8 which says "there were also in that same country shepherds living out of doors and keeping watches in the night over their flocks " then there are the succeding verses that tell of the angels telling the shepherds of Jesus Birth. Now Nov-feb is the cold Rainy season over there and no shepherd would be out in the open with his flocks also the governor would not require people to register during that season and Joseph would not take his 9 month pregnant wife on the long journey by donkey to register in the cold rainy season and the rest of the Jews would revolt so how did the date come to be ? well at that time in Rome the cult of the sun was particulary strong and Dec25- Jan 6th on this day the sun begins its return to the northern skies the pagan devotees of mithra celebrated "dies natalis solis invicti" the birthday of the invincible sun and by 274 Emperor Aurelian had proclaimed the sun god principal patron of the empire and dedicated a temple to him at Campus Martius christmas originated at a time when the cult of the sun was particulary strong and to attract more followers they changed it from the worship of the sun to the worship of the Son" the New catholic Encyclopedia 1967 Vol III p. 656 and all the customs associated with it are also of pagan origin the exchanging of gifts comes from the feast of "saturnalia" the "santa " comes from the author of this pagan festivities an anagram for satan in other countries it is known as st nick, father christmas , piere noel, knecht ruprecht, the magi, the elf jultomten or julenissen, the witch la befana all practices condemed in the Bible the World Book Encyclopedia 1984 vol III P.414 the Xmas tree from Jer 10:1-5 long before Jesus time so since it is entirely of pagan origin and has absolutely NOTHING TO DO WITH JESUS OTHER THAN DISHONORING HIS NAME by attaching Pagan GOD DISHONORING PRACTICES TO IT YES A TRUE CHRISTIAN LOVES JESUS AND HATES christmas as an insult to the one we love Gorbalizer

I think that would be impossible to do...the only thing I don' t like is the too much commercialism of Christmas...but Jesus and Christmas goes together...you just have to love Christmas by knowing how to celebrate it...
