There are many choices for routers, first you want to decide on what you want to spend. Buy new and make sure you buy one that supports 802.11g, which is the faster of the two set standards.

Depending on which lappie you bought her, it may even have a newer 802.11n. This standard is in the final phases of becoming a common for all. This style will work with most routers but will perform best with a 802.11n routers.

Getting a name brand such at Netgear, Linksys, or even Belkin will fill your needs fine. Make sure you secure your router so that the whole neighborhood is using your internet account for free.

Well the most expensive router will be the best one. this is a wireless system that distributes internet to your laptop for home use. The internet is limited in your house.

Get a Linksys router, good products, just make sure you secure it when you get it or your neighbours will be able to use your connection if they have a laptop.
