The butterfly and the backstroke. Feel it yourself. When you do the storkes, concentrate on your ab muscles. They contract more than when you do freestyle or backstroke.

butterfly kick will work your lower abs to death, along with your hip flexors so you'll get the sweet looking V shape on your lower stomach.
as for the upper abs, flip turns are probably the only thing in swimming that really work the abs a lot. but even then youre probably better off just doing crunches
try something like 4 x 25 sprint, after each one get out and do 20 pushups on one end of the pool, and then when you get out on the other end, do 20 crunches. if you do that a couple times through two or three times a week you'll start to see results in about a month

The Butterfly would be the first pick followed by the Breast Stoke and Side stroke because these are versions of abdominal crunches. Don't forget to work the sides evenly though so you don't end up with lop-sided abs.

If you really want to make your abs hurt, do butterfly kicking on your back! Regular butterfly works, but if you want a hard workout, do them on your back with your hands in a streamline position! After about a two hundred, it is murder, but it works!

the four styles are: butterfly, backstroke, breast stroke and freestyle
and to tell you the truth none of them really work your stomach muscles. It works everything else. Try crunches?

butterfly, it works your abs out because your whole body is having to wiggle as such especially your stomach area.
