I agree. The Camry is a great car for my mom, but that is only because she knows nothing about cars and has no desire to learn. She can just put gas in it and change the oil and it is fine. If you have ever driven a Camry than you would agree that it deserves no award except for "Most Boring Car to Buy for Your Grandma"

No. Car of the year should bring something new to the table. The camry is a good all around car. But what new did it do? It pretty much just carried on being good. I know that may sound silly but awards like this are designed to reward inovation or new thinking. No one will remember next year who won in 2007.

i think it did. the toyota camry has proven itself a very nice,reliablecar that has lots of features and is affordable.
