If you catch it right away AIRBORNE (or the Walgreen's copy WALBORNE which is $2.00 cheaper) vitamin/mineral/herbal combination actually will kill a cold. I have done this more than once; nose starting to run ( I am not allergic ) taken the stuff before bed, woke up, no cold. It's really worth a try. Cold-Ease zinc lozenges also are quite effective - same story, you must catch it in the first few hours for the zinc to work.

Good Health to all,

;-)

I always drink echanachea tea when I feel under the weather and also as a preventative. It's a natural herb that promotes a strong, healthy immune system. I drink the one labled echinachea Immune Support in the health foods isle at the grocery store or pharmacy. Hope this helps. And if you need to sweeten it, make sure you use honey, not sugar. Honey has healing properties of it's own. Lots of rest helps too, & try to fast since you probably lost your appetite as most do when you get sick. It's your bodies way of "shutting down the machine" so it can concentrate on your immune system.

Gargling with warm, salted water soothes the throat. Drink orange juice & have chicken soup or broth. Unfortunately the best remedies for shortening the length of the cold is medication. Ask your pharmacist what he/she recommends. Otherwise just treat all the symptons to make yourself more comfortable. Oh, get Puffs for your nose - its the softest thing going (I tested 3 products).

I don't know about natural in the sense you're using it, but there's a terrific product called "Cold Eeze" that is a zinc (flavors are available) throat lozenge that works miracles. It lessens the impact of a cold and I've found it actually can prevent it from developing if you catch it soon enough.

PLEASE try these 3 remedies...EVERY time I feel run-down or get that tickly feeling in my throat I take these 3 things and it NEVER turns into a full-blown cold.

1) Olive Leaf Extract by "Herb Pharm"....it's in liquid form, and has no side effects...it immediately goes to work to kill any viruses in you...and it's all natural.

2) "JarrowDophilus", by "Jarrow Formulas"...it will keep the healthy "flora" in your body in perfect balance which keeps your immune system strong.

3) "Emergen-C" Vitamin C packets by "Alacer"

All three can be purchased at "Whole Foods Market", possibly "Trader Joe's", or call your local health food store to inquire about these two products.

EVERY friend and family member who has taken this advice, hardly ever gets sick.

For your throat: "Peaceful Mountain--Throat Rescue"
You will NEVER find a more powerful throat spray which is all-natural....soothing, fast acting, and kills bad bacteria on contact.

Best is Echinacea. You can get it in the herbal supplements aisle in most stores. Pretty cheap also. When the symptoms start coming on, I start 3 at a time, 3 times a day... It will boost your immune system to fight the cold a lot faster!

drink lots of liquids that dont have too much sugar. lots of water for example but no milk or orange juice! they'll make your thoat even more scratchy! also! if you have grapefruit juice, pour a glass for yourself and put it in the microwave for 30 seconds to a minute. and to sweeten it mix in a spoon of honey, NOT sugar. drink up! i know its not very tasty but i swear it helps! make sure you get lots of rest. you'll get better in no time!
