As far as punishments for an actual rape, I would be in favor of castration. But as we all know, that will never happen in our society. Fortunately, sex offenders are often given the royal treatment when they get to prison. Yes even criminals have some sense of morals. Rapists and child offenders are often treated extra special by extremely large men when they get to their new homes. Usually with a very loving caress.

False accusations of rape happen too often. That is why many people hesitate before condemning the accused. False accusations can create a lifetime of grief. Those they make the false claims should be prosecuted for filing a false police report. They should also be taken to civil court and sued for a very large amount of punitive damages. Whether they have the assets now shouldn't matter. Hopefully the can gain something later in life, only to have it snatched away by the "victim" of their lies and false claims.

for rape either by man or woman) - none violent, consensual between a minor and an adult. the standard punishments are OK.

For non violent consensual between an adult and a minor where the minor lied about his or her age and both parties agree on this(either by man or woman) - Much less than what they get now.

for violent rape (by a man) forced SRS and hormonal treatment. If he wants some that badly, give him one and he too can be one of the girls from now on.

For (man) exposing himself to minors. Forced cross dressing for a period not less than than 1 year and not more than 10.
This would include outer clothing as well as underthings, make up prosthetics and sleep ware. This should be inspected at random times to insure he complies and if he doesn't he can serve time in the men's prison under the same conditions.
This sounds excessive cruel but there would be many less cases of this with this punishment (and the one above) and it keeps most of them out of prison and therefore not a drain on tax dollars.

I will also say I am NOT a feminist and did not just single out the male population as I believe anyone can be accused of rape.
I just can't think of a suitable punishment for rape for a woman. Perhaps the Government could open a public brothel in Las Vegas where that sort of thing is legal? Any body have any other ideas?

Rape is one of those things that is not black nor white. Little girls lie about there age, a boy and girl go together boy being older and turns 18 before the girl, this is considered rape. Then there are those men who feel it is not wrong to rape. This of course did not answer the question because I do not know the answer to this.

As for the false accusations, typically it is a girl who does this and I feel she should be convicted of a felony (not a misdemeanor, this can ruin a persons life) if found that she lied. To be on that persons record. This of course does not mean if the girl looses her case this is a false accusation. One has to prove the girl to be a lier, and ment to get the guy in trouble.
I also feel those little girls to scream rape after falsifying there ID or making another believe they are older this falls under the felony.
This is the way I see things. If of course the female is doing the raping then she should get the same punishment.
As a society people do not take responsibility for there actions and the law does not bend...
These are of course my thoughts and my thought have in the past not been to popular with the "in" crowed.

For rape, the same as any aggravated assault. Elevating a crime to a higher level simply because of a sexual component does a huge disservice to the victim and society as a whole.

The victim of a physical assault that causes severe trauma (being beaten repeatedly with a baseball bat for example), without a sexual component, is encouraged by society to recover, put the event behind them, and move forward with their life. On the other hand, victims of an assault with a sexual component, regardless of how minimal the actual physical damage, are constantly pounded by relatives, friends and society in general with the notions that their incident was more damaging, that their life "can never be the same" and that they must assume the permanent identity of "victim." This is grossly unfair to the victims of such assault and women in general.

As for false claims of rape, again, the penalty should be the same as for falsely reporting any crime.

there are definitely VERY, very few fake rape accusations made. i'm examining this in family members regulation precise now. for somebody to return forward some rape is generally an act of braveness. the fake accuser shouldn't get off scott-unfastened - if no longer the rest the guy she victimized would desire to look at a civil action. did he then visit the police and record a pretend arrest, and so forth checklist or did he in basic terms believe the gadget to prevail in out and suitable itself?

I'm more worried about what the burden of proof would be for the man or woman who was accused of rape. If the burden is too light, anyone could be accused of a rape and a lot of innocent people would have their life and reputation ruined. If the burden of proof was too great and men and women could easily be convicted for accusing a false rape, then no one would report if they were raped and would be forced to suffer in silence.

I have such strong personal feelings about rape, the punishment for rape could never equal the crime. The punishment for making false rape accusations should equal the crime, it should be harsh.
