i have a little sister that is 12 and she wants to put on makeup so i was wondering what kind dont say lip gloss and other than that plzz

gloss and a bit of blush, now days you get eye shadows for young girls.....but i suggest avoid eye shadows as a 12 yr old skin is still at its ,maturing stage meaning she will have her acne stage and all. gloss will be fine i guess

12 year olds dont need to wear makeup...but eyeshadow, a little bit of blush, and lip gloss

Some mascara, eyeshadow, a little eyeliner, but nothing too heavy. And then of course, lipgloss, which you already mentioned. Aim for pastels or lighter colors, and maybe some shimmer so she still looks her age. Since I'm assuming you already wear makeup, show her how to put it on so she gets the hang of it. lip gloss really is good, it is also very good for the lips and not quite as harsh as lip stick, hence the fact it is good for everyday use, also a little brush of blush, just a touch and the slightest dab of non-waterproof mascara, water proof is very hard on the lashes and you don't want to ruin hers so young. no eyeshadow, if she cries or wipes her eyes, she could get it in her eyes. I would also paint her fingernails and toenails, maybe get some of those press on nails for her.

The whole idea is to look prettier, not to look like a 'painted lady'(hooker). She might want to use paler colors, pink/peach gloss and blush(NOT bright red). Perhaps a brown mascara and/or maybe eyeliner. Light color shadow to accent her eye color. There are entire lines of beauty products available in this color range...check your local stores. At 12 it is most important to build good skin care and eating habits, so those teen years aren't marred by 'zits'! All best wishes!

I think a lil bit of MASCARA would do fine, im 12 and its nothing cheap looking nothing like a birght blue eyeshadow and dark red lipsyik if you know what i mean.
1- Mascara
2- a REALLYYYY light pink/ peachish blush
3- lip gloss

I'm 12 too and I use clinique most of the time. Claire's also has some good starter kits and stuff. Blush,foundation,eyeshadow,liner,mascara,and lipgloss are all pretty good. Try to pick out natural colors and teach her to put eyeliner on and SMUDGE! Don't buy her lipstick. That's a little to old ladyish 2 me. My favs are foundation,concealer,blush,and mascara. Good luck!

why does a 12 year old need make-up? women spend their whole lives trying to reclaim the natural beauty of the young. keep your skin clean to avoid acne and get some yummy lip gloss! sorry, i said it. if you're playing dress-up at home any make-up is fine. if you go out with it, it looks trashy on little girls. set a good example for her and tell her she's pretty. beauty is from within.

i would say go with light pinks and browns. avoid bright pinks and blues, you know colors like that. nyc, ten, elf, mary-kate and ashley and bonbons has rele good makeup colors and things that a 12 year would like but still be suitable for her age. my little sister is 12 and she uses that kind of makeup,too.
