The mother's blood goes to the baby in the womb via the umbilical cord to provide oxygen and other nourishment... that's why the mother's health is so important, and why she should not drink or use drugs.

It is bad to be aaten! Not even a second babies can life in anybody's stomach, not even in their mothers'.

They live (while they develop) in mothers' womb. It is a special "'container" designated for developing babies. The babies (actually the fetus) are connected to the womb through the umbilical cord which serves as the food channel to babies, like an electric cord to a computer. Babies develop in the womb during 9 month and they can stay there about that time (and sometimes a couple of day or even two weeks more).

You can see some greta pictures on fetus in the womb at http://www.msn.handbag.com/galleries/gallery/lifestyle/pregnancy_and_conception/family_babywomb/

This is from about.com. It talks of the placenta and its part in the growth of the baby. As you can see it obtains nutrients. Remember a baby can die is detached from the placenta which is why placenta previa and abrupto are very serious.

This organ grows from the time of conception to eventually take over the production of hormones needed to sustain the pregnancy at around 12 weeks gestation (from your last menstrual period). It supplies your growing baby with a means of obtaining nutrients for development as well as a method of waste disposal. This is the only disposable organ ever made

the baby doesn't live in the stomach, it lives in the womb. it gets its nutrients from the placenta via the umbilical cord, and it stays in there for 9 months because it must develop, starting as a single cell.

Babies do not live in a stomach. They live in a womb and are fed through the umbilical cord.

I don't know how old you are but babies don't live in their mothers' stomachs. They live in their uteri (plural of uterus) and they get everything they need from the placenta via the umbilical cord.

baby is in the womb .. protected by the placenta which is amazing even protects it from diseases but other diseases are too strong like HIV ... the umblical cord provides the baby with nutrient and oxygen from the mother and also it takes away wastes from the baby to the mother to let out ... pretty amazing

pretty much what everybody's said, the umbilical chord means the baby shares its blood with the mother, meaning it gets all the nutrients and oxygen that are in the mother's blood

babies, if you think about it, are almost like a parasite. It leeches off the mother's nutrition to grow. Its in the mtohers stomach for a long time becuase it needs to fully grow every item it needs to survive outside its mother's stomach.
