Razor blade and some good amonia based window cleaner. If you live in a colder climate a heat gun helps to loosen the adhesive. Be real carefull around the rear defrost. I pull the film off first the use that "GooGone" adhesive remover to rub the sticky stuff clear from the glass.

Peel it off. The adhesive is obviously breaking down, so it's not gonna be as hard as you think. The problem comes from the adhesive now wants to come off the film and stay on the window. Believe it or not, SOS pads soaked liberally. DO NOT let the detergent of the SOS pads diminish to the point that it's gone. As soon as you feel the detergent is starting to disappear, grab a new SOS pad. I did this on a '92 Camaro with great results. Got the knowledge from a friend who used to install window tint. I thought he was nuts, until I did it. Worked great especially since I had rear window defrost.
