Demerol is the brand name for meperidine. It's for moderate to severe pain and is available in tablets, syrup, or injectable forms. It's often used for sedation before surgery or to provide mild sedation for minor surgical procedures.
Lortab is a combination of acetaminophen and hydrocodone. It's also prescribed for moderate to severe pain.

Loratab is Acetaminophen/Hydrocodone used for moderate to severe pain. Demerol is Meperidine used for moderate to severe pain. Both are in the narcotic analgesics category. Both can be highly addictive, and should be used under the direction of a physician. Warning: keep a close eye on these medications and tell only people you can trust that you are taking it, addicts will steal them. Never leave home without or locked up in a safe place, addicts will break in and steal them. It's a sad world these big drug companies have helped develop for the sake of their major stockholders. Drug companies love those palliatives.

Demerol and Lortab are two entirely different pain medications. Both are narcotic pain meds but they are diffferent medications.

I believe that one is a designer and the other is a generic.
