There are so many great smells...how the house smells when a Sunday or holiday dinner is cooking, when fresh baked goods are just out of the oven, the special scent of your significant other. But, after it rains, when you step out the door and the air is so fresh and clean. A big deep breath - ooooh, yummy. Especially when there are pine trees or fragrant flowers near. There is nothing like it!!! It makes my heart happy and reminds me of a line from 'Pippa Passes', "God's in his heaven, All's right with the world".

I think that would have to be the smell of real pine trees. I grew up in Washington state, and we of course always had a real Christmas tree(we'd usually cut it from our own property). Having grown up there, I can say without a doubt that real pine is not a smell that can be duplicated.
