Not really. Those turkeys are conceived, hatched and raised to be Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners. It's no different than the chicken, cows, and pigs we eat all year round.

Well, it's an unfortunate business, having to kill for food. We are onmivores however, and the teeth that god gave us are made for grinding grains, and tearing flesh. The reason there are so many animals slaughtered is because there are so many of us to eat them. I dont mind eating meat. I of course eat it in moderation, but even my small consumption of it multiplied by all the other people in the world still makes for an unthinkable annual slaughter. We are meat eaters, and that is just a fact of living.
