Yes, very clever guy. He started on Craigslist.com and traded a red paper clip for something of slightly more value, with the goal of eventually trading for a home for him and his new wife. After a few trades and media exposure he finally got a hose in Canada I believe. It was in the news.

He had a big red paper clip. Decided to trade it up. Went on Craigs list and made the first trade it sort of snowballed and WOW HE ACTUALLY GOT HIS HOUSE. great story and its true .

Yeah, vaguely. He started out with this gigantic novelty paperclip and I think he posted it first on his blog, and somebody traded him something else for it, and then he traded that for something else...etc...etc...I think one of the things was tickets to see Alice Cooper...Anyway, the end result was a house...I know People Magazine did an article on it, and you can probably find something on Google, too.
