How do u take your pet and ur sim to the town sqaure??

For the PC version, use a phone to call a taxi or ride in your own car. A dialog box will pop up asking you to select which members will be going with you. Hope this helps. =)

What console?

If it is GameCube, go on the sidewalk and find the arrow - click it and it will give you the option to go to Town Square. You then select which members of the household will join you.

i don't have Sims 2 pets, but i do have Sims2 and if i want them to go somewhere I click on the phone and call for a taxi.
