A pad is designed to soak up liquid, so it will just get soggy under a wet suit. A wet suit is not water tight, it works by trapping a small layer of warm water against your skin to help conserve heat. Most serious divers who dive in warm water and wear a wet suit will usually urinate in the suit when diving. I would suspect that being on your period would be like that and any thing you leak will wash out during the dive. Buy some wet suit shampoo at the dive shop and use it to clean the the suit at the hotel in the bath tub.
A tampon may, or may not work.

Not to scare you or anything, but you might want to be a little extra careful if you dive.
A wetsuit lets water in,your body heats a thin layer of water to help keep you warm and provide protection from minor injuries.
It also allows water to leave the suit when you exit the water. If you are on your period, any blood that might leak out during the dive may or maynot attract sharks. It doesn't take much to get their attention, talk with the divemaster before diving. Since some divers have been hand feeding sharks for years, they may appear just looking for food.

Nope, a wetsuit won't keep your pad dry, because they allow water in. (that's why they are called a wetsuit). You might consider a "dry suit" (see wikipedia references) if you really must wear a pad, but they are terribly expensive and you would be totally hot in Jamaica. Dry suits are designed for really cold water. You would be soaked in sweat.
Go for the tampons.

i wouldn't do that. Even though a wet suit is designed to keep you warm and dry, the suit does absord water. i would just face your fears and use a tampon. you won't feel a thing.

wet suits let water in that is why they call them wet suits a thin layer of water is between you and the suit, that in turn's help you float and creats warmth.

Obviously not. Please use a tampon. Not only won't it stick, but obviously everything will be absorbed by the water you'll be swimming in. The pad will be soaked and do nothing. And you'll bleed all over the place. Ew, that's disgusting. Please either DON'T swim or use a tampon like everyone else.

better to just use a tampon, the pad would just absorb seawater and not even protect from the flow
