If you like shopping and other girl things does that mean your gay?If not what R you then?

I ahve a gf and I do have friends that are girls(only 2) plus my GF and I havr 4 pals(guys).

If you like shopping and other "girl things", it doesn't mean that you're gay. Your sexual orientation has nothing to do with shopping. Some gay guys like shopping and all that, and some gay guys hate it, just like some straight guys like it and some hate it. You may just like some things that are stereotypically feminine.

To put it another way, feminine things aren't necessarily girl things. Masculine things aren't necessarily boy things. And being gay doesn't necessarily mean that you like activities that are associated with the opposite sex.

I'm a bisexual girl. I hate shopping and shoes and all that. But I have a friend who also likes both men and women, to about the same degree as I do, who loves shopping and has about a million pairs of shoes and wears make-up and all that. On the other hand, physically I like being in good shape, but I don't like team sports very much. However, my shoe-loving friend has always played sports and kicks behind on her roller derby team. My point is that both of us have the same sexual orientation, but both of us have a different mix of masculine and feminine characteristics, because the two aren't the same.

I think the only reason that gay men and lesbians are stereotyped as being more like the opposite sex is that when their gender is different, they are more open to being comfortable with it, because the gay community is cooler with gender variance than the straight community.

Liking shopping is not indicative of sexuality. If you entertain vivid fantasies about sex with other guys, I'd say that you're definitely gay. And there's nothing wrong with that. There's nothing wrong with liking to go shopping either. Gay men, like str8 men, are first people. One should avoid the practice of trying to categorize people by the activities they prefer. Do str8 men like shopping too? Some love it, some hate it. My brother, a former State Trooper, spent hours a day in shopping malls trying on new outfits and admiring himself. Was he gay? Not at all. Just vain. I'm gay but hate shopping and do it only when I absolutely have to. But we all like to look our best and if you want to look like something straight out of GQ then go for it, honey. You'll get more dates that way, no matter if you're gay or straight.

But you don't mention what other girl things you like so my answer will be a bit difficult
Suppose you like dressing up like a girl:you are a drag queen.Putting on make up a wig:the same.
Cooking and baking and shopping:just gay no more no less:but you never mentioned that you are attracted to guys.
Maybe you are not yet clear on what you desire.
Think about what a girl or a boy awakes in you sexually.
You must have fantasized about it at least.

No I don't think that if you like shopping you are gay. You just may be a guy who is very fashion/design concious. If you are attracted to guys that would tend to put you more into the "possibly" gay/or bi category. Do you have lots of friends that are girls, but you aren't attracted to any of them? Do you find yourself attracted to men? Never mind the stereotypes out there for gay/bi/lesbian or straight..... You are who you are and that's okay. If your gay, okay, if you bi, fine, if your straight, okay too....whatever you find yourself to be go out in the world and be the best you can possibly be because you are the way you are for a reason and you shouldn't feel any shame in whatever category (or categories) you fit into.

Liking to shop does not a ****** make. If by doing "girl things" you mean shaving your legs and plucking eyebrows and wearing make up then yes you are definitively an A## Pounder or a Pink Piccolo Player!!!!!!!

Not being Gay or anything.I was watching a T.V. show and one (Boy) of the members of the family asked"How can I tell if I'm Gay"? The brother answered "When you lay down to sleep at night what do you think of". Boy's or Girls.
I thought for a T.V. show that was a "Neat" answer from one brother to another.

boy, you are only gay if you like the same sex. thats it. that is what you need to qualify. now, if you are asking this more because you are unsure of your orientation, i have no clue what to tell you. just because you enjoy more feminine things doesnt mean your gay, you could just be metro. and the person who above me who said that there are no gay people is ridiculous. theres nothing wrong with being gay.

a man who likes to be a girl, and or who likes girly things is not necessarily gay.. you may be transgender.. (a guy who thinks he is a girl stuck in a guy's body).

or it could be you are a normal guy who just happens to have a very strong feminine side..
