I remember reading a book as a child, but I don't remember much about it. The title I have in my head is "The Abominable Yeti", but I don't think the book I've found on Amazon with that title is the same one. I'm sorry I don't have more information, and I know that anybody knowing what the book is with the information available is probably never going to happen, but if somebody could help me find this book I'd be forever grateful.

The book was fiction, and I can't remember when I read it. I would like to use this opportunity to thank everybody that has answered so far, but unfortunately I don't think this particular book has been mentioned yet.

What about the Abomindable Snowbeast?

Or "The Abominable Snowman doesn't roast marshmellows"
http://www.amazon.ca/Abominable-Snowman-Doesnt-Roast-Marshmallows/dp/0439650372

There's also a more mature, "Yeti, the Abominable Snowman"

There's also a cute one called "Peg and the Yeti"

Let me know if any of these ring a bell.

It wouldn't be The Lost City or The Caves of Fear both by John Blaine and set in the Himalayas, would it? These were part of a juvenile adventure series known as Rick Brant Electronic Adventures and these two volumes set in Nepal or Tibet may have had a Yeti as part of the plot. According to Wikipedia, these books may have been the inspiration for Johnny Quest.

Well, I don't see any kids' books in the WorldCat library database with that exact title...but if you can narrow it down to when you would have read it, I can give you some titles about Yeti that might be possibilities. I assume it's a non-fiction book? Do you recall whether it was one in a series of books about unknown/mythical beasts?

Don't know but take a look at these and see if they ring a bell:

What is it about books that we read in childhood? No other books ever seem as good again.

Good luck!
