For Christmas I received an Adopt a Dolphin kit from them and I want to make sure that I am really helping preserve dolphins and am not being victimized.

I would do a google on them and see what i could find out. If you are looking for a wildlife preservation group to join, try Defenders of Wildlife. They stand up for several different species and you dont necessarily have to donate money. You can set up petitions, call your congressman, governor, write letters. Several different ways that you are able to assist them. I am a member and I think it is an awesome organization.
