how can I hook up antenna on top of attic?

i took some antenna wire and just hung it up in the attic, about 25 30 ft. hung it to the raffters. it works fine. radio shack sells one that you mount in your attic.

just put it up in the attic and adjust (turn) for best reception

what type of antenna?? ham radio, tv, wifi...
