shallow people that need to get a grip. if you offend others,you shouldn't get mad if they offend you.

No, you don't get any points for reporting people. If people see other users violating the community guidelines, then they can report them for misusing this site. People have a right to express their thoughts & opinions, just as long as they do it in a manner which is not offensive or threatening to others. It's a tough call & many people don't get my humor & sometimes, even I get reported when I offend others. I don't do it on purpose, it just seems to come naturally. I don't think you or anyone else has the right to tell others to get off the internet. You're just angry about being reported!

No. If they did, there would be a lot more reporting. I think it's fine as is- I will report people, but only if they are in violation of the yahoo terms of service. (And it's not something stupid)
I use the thumbs down a lot on db ones that don't warrant a report.

I don't report anyone anymore, my feeling is that if you don't like it, don't read it. You don't get points for reporting, I got reported for saying redneck, you never know what will offend people

Well it's deeper than that. A lot of people on here will report you, not only for saying rude things...but also just because they do not agree with your view or opinion.

you are so right, kudos to you. i just got a notice of violation this morn for telling some one to keep up the good work. people are so childish. i think a bunch of kids get on here and start pushing the abuse button. if i figure out who's doing the reporting I'm going to report them for the hell of it. merry Christmas.
