Letting yourself fall in love is the the ultimate act of nobility. To make yourself so utterly emotionally vulnerable to the whims of another person is literally like handing your soul to someone and trusting they won't hurt you. And it's this trust in humanity which makes it noble.

I feel noble is not the word for love...
Love if one believes the myths and fairy tales it is all these glorious things. In reality love is cleaning up after a child or a older person who mess's all over themselves.
Love is the day to day boring tasks that need to be done.
Love is washing cloths and cooking dinner, everyday.
Love is watching while another goes off to work to make that oh mighty dollar so the bills can be paid.
Love is watching as our loved one sits in a hospital bed or at home in bed and slowly takes there last breath.
Love is taking care of a child who just does not see the world in the same way as everyone else, and learning from this child.I could go on but I think you got my point.
If more people saw love for what it was, we as a society would not be so fast to divorce or split when things get rather ruff in a relationship.
We in a society would also learn to treat each other in a most respectful, dignified way...
My thoughts on this..

The noble thing about love would to be monogamous throughout your relationship.

according to the bible yes but speaking from experience no. The only thing I have ever gotten in return for loving are a bunch of slaps on the face. May be you shouldn't even be taking my advice since I've learned it all the hard way.

Nobility pertains to character, and if one is open hearted, this allows her/his character to grow. To show, feel, express love could be viewed nobility...For the simple fact that the individual has not allowed bitterness to take hold of their outlook due to past experiences.
