Because satan is telling them they are all alone. The liar decieves people. Christmas is a time for jubilant gratitude, that God sent His son into the world that we may know life, and that abundantly. The enemy is very busy this time of year, trying to convince people they are alone, that their lives mean nothing, and that things will never be any different. Satan comes to steal, to kill and to destroy, and he wants to undo the Christmas message as much as he can.

The truth is that God loves us so much, He gave His only begotten son, that whosoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life. In Jesus' name, I rebuke the lies of satan to any whose hearts today feel empty and lonely, and I ask our God of love to show those hearts how precious they are to Him. May the peace of God, and the truth of His love, be with everyone this special day.

Probably because Christmas for some people can be the loneliest time of the year. Some people don't have families anymore...or they never have. Eventually they've just had enough...it's sad but true. So take this time to talk to someone who you think needs a friend or maybe just a kind word from a stranger. You could help cut down the suicide ratings. Merry Christmas!

Because Christmas is perceived as a time when everyone is happy - so if you're not then it compounds your misery. This is also why many Christmases people argue, because the strain of being extra nice and civil often gets to people - so their perfect Christmas often turns out bad. If something does go wrong on Christmas day it often is perceived as being much worse - because Christmas is supposed to be perfect.

Sadly enough for some people Christmas is the loneliest time of they year and they don't want to spend New Year's alone either instead of waiting to see that they aren't always going to be as sad and lonely as they are at that moment they decide to end their lives.

For exactly the same reason they commit suicide during the rest of the year. They are depressed, and either haven't gotten help, or their help has failed them.
