She probaly was like that in your womb. Sometimes when they are first born they have their days and nights mixed up. Try waking her up and playing with her a little more in the day time. Even though being so young she does need her sleep but maybe at feeding try to coax her into staying awake just a little longer each time. She will eventually get it. A lot of newborns are like this. For th time being try to get some sleep when she is sleeping. So you will be a little more vibrant at night.

The baby at a month is suppose to still be sleeping a lot during the day. the older they get the more they will stay awake durin the day. get in a routine to put baby down at a certain time each night, usually between 8 and 9 for me and get that pattern set into place. a set routine is best for a baby.

When she wakes up in the night to eat or is wet, turn on only minimal lighting. If you turn on really bright lights, she thinks it is time to wake up and will continue to wake up at that time. Keep the lights as low as possible. Make sure there is plenty of sunlight coming in during the day. This should help! Good luck! Also, please do not try keeping your baby up a lot during the day! She is a newborn and needs lots of sleep. The sleep 20 hours a day at times.

My daughter is 6 weeks old and is trying to switch her days and nights also (I was up till 4:30am last night because she wouldnt sleep).
Her ped said do whatever you have to do to keep them awake during the day...squirt her with bottle of warm water, give her a bath, strip her down to her diaper and tickle her. I've been using the warm water and squrting her with it to wake her up and its working. She's mad as hell but at least she's awake and hopefully we'll both get some sleep tonight.

you need to choose a day that you have nothing to do and get ready to have a hell of a day. what you need to do is make your little one stay awake at all costs. of course they need about a 4 hour nap but absolutely no more. then, that breaks the up all night routine. i promise it will work, you may be exhausted and completely stressed, but from then on, you should have a better routine. good luck!

your baby seems to have her nights and days mixed up. try to keep your child up as long as you can during the day, don't let your child take a nap as long. just make sure that you get her really tired. and hopefully your child will sleep at night. good luck.
