Is it true Chinese atrocities are similiar to the "Rape of Nanjing" and involves forced dislocation of Tibetan people and genocide? Can Japan or India intervene and help out the peaceful Tibetan people. Your comments. Thank you.

What China is doing in Tibet bears a strong resemblance to the Ulster Plantation of the 1600's in Ireland, where the British expelled Irish Catholics from much of present-day Northern Ireland and handed their lands to English and Scottish Protestants eventually resulting in the partition of Ireland. If a Tibetan state were ever to re-emerge, something similar would probably happen. Why did China do this? One reason I suppose was that the US didn't give Tibet the attention it gave Korea and Vietnam in terms of fighting the spread of Communism hence the Chinese regime knew it had nothing to fear. Furthermore with only around 2 million people or less back then it knew a conquest wouldn't be too difficult. The desire of Western countries to exploit the 1 billion strong Chinese market also means issues like Tibet fall way down their list of concerns to bring up with China - if even on the list at all. Look for example at France demanding the end of the EU arms-embargo on China.

China just wanted Tibet's land. They are not going to apologize, nor leave Tibet.

This is not the only instance of China's atrocity. They bulldozed thousands of their own people in Tinanmem Square.

China is far too string for India. India has already suffered a humiliating defeat in Chinese hands. All they can do is provide refuge to fleeing Tibetans, which they are already done. Japan probably does not care.

The japs never apologized to China about the Rape of Nanking, nor did they even reimburse anyone (my father's family).

I don't know what you're talking about but I found this:
" Exile groups say that despite recent attempts to restore the appearance of original Tibetan culture to attract tourism, the traditional Tibetan way of life is now irrevocably changed. Supporters of the Dalai Lama argue that comparisons between the theocracy before 1950 and the Tibet of today are false because, if China had not invaded, the Dalai Lama would have worked to improve the material lot of the people, their political rights, and in doing so has disturbed the natural process of a legitimate nation."

Mao invaded in 1951. they have already moved in hundreds of thousands of ethnic chinese, who will outnumber the tibetans into the future so there's no real chance of a withdrawal. japan is not the right country to say anything given its history with china. india has said something to no avail and the dalai lama live is NE India. however, the situation will not change, unfortunately.
