Check out the Acer lap tops...they are very good and you will spend hundreds of dollars less because you are not paying for the big names like HP and Sony....most all of the components inside are made by the same companies so you are really paying for the name
My wife bought an Acer - Aspire 9400 and loves it...the same laptop in a HP or Sony would have cost her $400+ more.

I have to say go to dell and order a nice laptop dell is one of the best computer companies in the world. They have great custome support and great technology.

Wouldn't we all like to know. Remember, you get what you pay for and buy the extended warranty. IBM/Lenovo and Sony seem pretty good. Dell and HP are OK - hardly very very good.
