More often than I care to admit.

Every day! I'm American and just moved to Egypt. I have a heck of a time at the market or any place I have to communicate because I haven't learned enough Arabic yet.

Was awful the other day trying to tell the clerk I wanted a box of Corn Flakes. They were on a high shelf, behind the counter. I was pointing at the box and saying "cereal" and "Corn Flakes" but they had no clue what I wanted.

Very awkward and frustrating. Finally a shopper in the store said "Corn Flakes" (jeez same thing I'd been saying) and all the clerks "got it"!!! Guess I have to learn to say "Corn Flakes" with an Arabic accent.

Awkward, yes...but my own fault for not knowing the native tongue.

I really do not feel awkward anymore,I guess as you get older all of the life lessons that you learned (hopefully correctly) have made you realize that there are so many things that do not matter.I just try try make my life happy, caring and to make a positive difference to all that I meet.

most often. Because I am a kinda shy guy. I get annoyed by things others feel which are cool to do. mostly it is because of people which are closer to me. Because when they make mistakes we are bound to feel awkward.
