Theoretically, from the employer's point of view, fair wages and benefits are competitive perks, recruiting tools, and morale boosters for the current employees.

From the employee's viewpoint, they are expected and where changes occur due to higher costs, such as higher co-pay/ payroll deductions for medical insurance, some employees become dissatisfied.
