Get Goo Off, Oops, or similar product. It removes all types of glue and labels

Peanut butter. Seriously. The oil breaks down the glue and it's mildly abrasive to help remove the glue but won't scratch the surface. Rub some on the glue residue, let it set for a while, rub it some more, repeat until the glue residue is removed. Don't laugh. I used to work at a small store that handled just a few appliances. We used peanut butter to remove the glue residue left from the manufacturers stickers after we sold the appliance and before delivery. Use the "smooth" peanut butter, so you don't scratch the metal from the chunks of peanuts found in the "chunky". Butter works too as far as the oil to break down the glue, but you'll have to scrub a little harder to remove the residue.

Remove Adhesive From Metal

There are three common house hold products that will remove epoxy very well (in order of effectiveness). Liter fluid, Rubbing Alcohol, and Acetone. Obviously, be careful there is no open flame near by. I would not use Acetone (finger nail polish) if this is a "show" surface. This chemical can remove any corrosion protective coating (such as elpo) that may be on the metal's surface.

Fingernail polish remover.
Or this stuff you can get at walmart called GooGone.
Also, Cutters (that is the brand) bug spray.
Lots of stuff will get it off for you.
