I dont know if I did the math right, but from what I think your baby is 11lbs or a little over, at 1 mth old.
No your baby is not overweight. My daughter was8lbs 4oz at birth and 11lbs 15oz at her 5 week appointment and her dr said she is very healthy, and there is no such thing as an overweight baby. And if your breastfeeding your expected to have a healthy chunky baby, it means she's getting all the nutrients she needs from your milk and your both doing good! Once she starts crawling and walking the weight will fall off, and trust me, then you'll be wondering if she's too skinny!

Babies can not be over weight. Breast feed babies are usally bigger in the first 4 months than formula fed ones. They start to slow down after that. If she's growing fast that's great, she's just doing exactly what she is supposed to be doing. She's getting all the nutrients that she needs!!

No, she is fine.
Go look at this growth chart:
http://www.kellymom.com/babyconcerns/growth/chart1.html
She was at about th 55th percentile (it's hard to tell)
Now she is around 60th. Perfectly normal.
Also you can not force a baby to overeat and you should never restrict a babies access to food. Breastmilk is the perfect food and the only reason for a baby to be overweight would be a couple of very rare medical conditions. So stop worrying!

Well as I have been told, you look at the weight gain as a whole. You don't worry too much about how much they gain, but rather the consistancy at which they gain it. So worry more on that and the fact that you know the baby is getting enough to eat as she is gaining weight. Congrats to you and if you really get concerned more talk to her pediatrician.

If you are exclusively breastfeedin, do not feer that your baby is overweight. Breastmilk is very good for baby and it actually changes to suit your baby's needs. If your baby needs more calories, your milk changes to have more calories. If your baby needs less, it changes to accomodate the need as well.
My son was huge too... born 9 lbs 14 oz. And at 6 months, he weighed over 24 lbs. I breastfed him for 12 months.

No, and when you take her to the doctor for her two month check-up they will tell you what percentage she falls in on the growth scale. Most breastfeeding moms worry their babies aren't getting enought to eat so I'd say you are doing something right.

Stop Comparing! I HATE the way mothers do this. I causes this crazy worrying for nothing. If the doc says your baby is OK, she is OK. Stop worrying. You are doing exactly what you should be doing by breastfeeding. There will be plenty of time to worry about this when she is eating from the table and school age.

stop worrying about it, especially if your breast feeding. the dr use to tell me my oldest son was obese when he was a baby and hes tall and skinny now. dont worry as they grow up they slim down and as long as you teach healthy eating habits then who cares if the baby is chubby now. chubby babies are cuter anyway lol
