There are three common house hold products that will remove epoxy very well (in order of effectiveness). Liter fluid, Rubbing Alcohol, and Acetone. Obviously, be careful there is no open flame near by. I would not use Acetone (finger nail polish) if this is a "show" surface. This chemical can remove any corrosion protective coating (such as elpo) that may be on the metal's surface.

heat the metal with a hair dryer to soften glue. Pinch blot with acetone/fingernail polish remover. That should do it.

Goo gone but if you don't have that, rubbing alchol will work, nail polish remover, and a heat gone always works nice.

If bare metal where the finish isn't important, you can sand it off.
If not, there is a product call "GOOP" that is an adhesive remover.

goof-off works really well, but be careful if your metal is painted. I use it all the time to get minor scuffs off our cars, etc.
