well, many of idols and mentors are male and people are obviously influenced by their idols and mentors.
I used to be daddy's girl, so I greatly took his opinion into account when making choices. I still think about how my grandfather will percive me (I'm still his little girl even though I'm a grown woman).
I also desire the respect and approval of my family and close friends(some of whom are male).
I respect and take my boyfriends's thoughts into account. currently I'm trying to choose a major for college. I was thinkinfg about being a criminal psycologist, but he doesn't want me working with criminals. and I may stray away from that line of work due partially to his feelings on the matter.

Well I think it depends on the person because some women are more easily influenced then others but as a whole, women are definitely influenced by men on some level and vise versa. I also think it depends on who you ask because as a woman I would say I seen men influence women's feelings and decisions in what they wear, what they like to how they feel about themselves. Of course if you ask a lot of men they will feel they are more influenced but that's their perspective.

To be honest, they influence me way more than they should.....probably because I have low self esteem and suffer with depression. I'm told that when women get older, they stop caring what men think, so I look forward to then.

My husband change me a lot. He is brilliant man and I learned many things from him without reading them in books. He is a walking encyclopedia.He also gave me 3 bright intelligent kids.
