Tell me how you survived whatever it was that sent you to the hospital? How did you get a car - most humans still don't have them? And you have a place to live with a working oven, and a friend to visit today? Millions of homeless people and elderly people do not have such things.

It seems to me that the cause of the mental upset you experience is within your own mind; the expectation that things should be a certain way. Part of growing up is understanding that what happens has nothing to do with what we want at the moment, and that the world does not revolve around us.

Your friend will understand; she has probably burned cookies too.

Peace on Earth, Goodwill to All,

;-)

Instead of giving all of your attention to the negative aspects that have been happening lately, think about the positive blessings that you have. Do you have a place to live? Do you have food in the cupboard? Do you have a choice of more than one outfit to wear? Do you have friends?
I know it is easy to fall into the "why me" funk, but look at the other side of the coin. You will find that you day has suddenly gotten a whole lot better.
Happy Holidays to you.

A stroke of bad luck or a curse that someone put on you. You should be happy you have a friend to spend Christmas with. Some people don't have that and have lost loved ones as well. Count your blessings, the ones that you have and suck it up and stop whining.

This is "Baby" bad luck. Trust me, you don't want the real kind. What were you in the hospital for? If your cured I'd say your luck is just fine.
