The school is in Taiwan and I have heard of writing this paper before from when I went to visit there, but I have no idea what the school is looking for or what am I supposed to write. I assume a plan of study, but how do you make that and how long is it supposed to be without being an autobiography or statement of purpose?

I agree with the answer already given. Make sure you sound legitimate that you are over there to study and learn about their culture. Some people seem to forget that thats why they are there and write papers as to how much fun it's going to be and how they can't wait to go out etc. You want to let these people know that you're primary reason for going to taiwan is for bettering your education and making you a more well rounded person while learning about their culture. Let them know how your experience in Taiwan is going to make your education successful.

It seems to me they want to know more about what you are going to do while you are there and what steps you will take to reach your goal. It might be good to state your goals for the future and while there and how you hope to accomplish them using the resources the university has to offer. Good Luck!
