That's news to me. I certainly don't hate the British and don't know anyone who does. Actually, quite the contrary.

Funny how people don't like Americans, but love what America has to offer. I've traveled the world over, and I have always been welcome where ever I go. Individually, Americans must not be so bad. And of course, American Money. Everything is based off of it. No one says "what is that in Euros? or Yen?" Pounds? Yes. But everyone points to the Mighty Dollar. Even Iran and Hezbolla use dollars. Silly isn't it? Saddam had hundreds of millions in US currency... People often tend to dislike what others have and since the appearance that Americans have everything the trend is to hate. It is really envy. Or rather these days, popular to hate America. Doesn't seemt o matter what America has done to help a particular population, people or anything else. Hate is popular these days. Did you know that Americans, not the government, give more money to international relief agencies than some countries are worth? Not that it helps, people that benefit from that money still hate us but once again, love that hand out.

I personally love England and have a lot of respect and admiration the English! To be fair, I also adore Ireland and would be in heaven if I could marry an Irish man!

Where on earth did you get the idea Americans hated England? I like England...I can go there and speak the language!!! The boobs of English women, as a group, are the largest of any nation in the world (according to Playboy)! I like fish and chips. English women generally have nice legs. I love the English sense of humor. English women have gorgeous eyes. Hehehe!

I didn't know the Americans dislike the English. That explains why Blair is Bush's pet.

I know a lot of Americans and none of them hates England - most of them love it. One in particular has recently moved here from San Francisco and tells me that the quality of life (as opposed to simple material wealth) is much better in the UK.

Well when I lived in the States they kept saying "they talk funny." I was so embarassed to attend a concert given by the Black Watch, which of course was attended by all the Scots in the area who could get there. The girl sitting next to me (an American) turned to me and said, "If these stupid people don't stop talking like that, I'm going to scream!" She actually *told* some of them they talked "wierd." One of them looked at her and said, "So do you, Yankee girl!" I could have gone through the floor.
Other than that, I think it's the herd instinct; people don't like anything that's "different." Maybe that's why I moved to Europe at a young age...

You obviously are not English, because you ended your sentence with a preposition. You have given yourself away with your ignorance of proper grammer. By the way, Americans do not dislike the Britains. They are our friends and allies. You are quite mistaken.
