It's goes to standby to quickly and drives me nuts. I would like to set it so that it doesn't go to standby on its own until about 1-2 hours of being idle.

START > CONTROL PANEL > POWER SETTINGS

Make sure you check your Dell battery for the recall too. Most C610s were recalled.

You should be able to go into Control Panel and find the power down options and set them for whatever amount of time you want. In my case, I can completely disable mine but I have a different brand of computer and you may not have that option. I think I have mine set on 45 minutes.
