Have you ever been to Amarillo Texas, if I was an Armadillo, I would be running, not walking toward Illinois. I am sure it is not for the weather. Actually it is probably because their species are rather successful and their natural territorial boundaries cause them to do this so they will maintain the proper square footage area that they by nature demand.

I believe they originally came from Mexico and Central America. They enjoy tearing up your lawn to get grub worms. People in Texas shoot em...maybe they are looking for a kinder, gentler population of humans to pester.
